Welcome to the ALENTAR-J-CM project!
The ALENTAR-J-CM project has been approved and funded by the Community of Madrid through its call for support in scientific research and technological innovation.
This funding will make it possible to develop an advanced system based on Large Language Models (LLMs) for the early detection of emotional disorders and suicide risk in adolescents and young adults, fostering collaboration among universities, healthcare centers, and social organizations.
Research led by the Complutense University of Madrid
This research consortium is led by the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) under Professor Alejandro de la Torre Luque, and includes participation from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM) and the Madrid hospitals Gregorio Marañón, Clínico San Carlos, and Fundación Jiménez Díaz.
Four years to develop clinical detection models for youth
Over the course of four years, the ALENTAR-J-CM project will conduct field studies to identify linguistic and paralinguistic speech markers of adolescents and young adults. These markers will then serve as the basis for training LLM-based computational models.
These models, in turn, will provide the tools needed to develop a software prototype that will support clinical health professionals in detection and prevention tasks.
